Char Dham Yatra
Char Dham Yatra is a pilgrimage tour that consists of four incredible places of Hindu worship. All the four famous sacred pilgrimage destinations are located in Himalayan mountain range of Uttrakhand. It is believed that a visit to these pilgrim places wash away all the sins of human being and add peace and serenity in life. Char Dham is considered very auspicious for Hindus as its known to be abode of god in four different directions of India. The annual pilgrim begins in India from April and continues till October/November.
The four famous places of Char Dham Yatra are Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, where Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Kedarnath to Lord Shiva, Yamunotri to Goddess Yamuna and Gangotri to Goddess Ganga. The tour starts from Yamunotri which is worshipped as the seat of goddess Yamuna.
